I am still seeing/hearing a lot of comments that lead me to believe that there are still a significant number of OSU basketball fans that feel like this team is going to be hard pressed to make the NCAA tournament. Barring significant injuries, I don't see how we don't make it in with ease.
The conference is looking strong, so, I guess I can see the argument that 1 or 2 good teams will get left out of the field. I just don't see OSU being 1 of those teams.
We have the best PG, and maybe the best player in the conference.
We are already seeing consistent improvement from all 5 freshmen as the season progresses.
I think we would all agree that a healthy Shine will improve the team.
Solomon looks like he is gradually moving toward becoming a guy who can hold his own at this level.
Chances are good that Hammonds and Forte will eventually break out of prolonged slumps
Maybe HCBU is able to get a bit of help out of guys like Dillard and Linehard (sp?).
I know there are not going to be many easy wins in this conference, but OSU is not going to be an easy win for anyone either. We just have to hold serve at home and come out on top in about 3 road games. I think that is doable with this roster and this coach.
