I don't feel like I'm a sky is falling guy but this has elevated to a point of no return in my opinion. Either this Russia stuff is true or obama's legacy along with any sliver of credibility the media has left is smashed. Trump better have some evidence. If he doesn't someone needs to punch him in the face or the wolves will tear him apart.

As a side note listening to lawyers discuss this is maddening. You get more opinions than if you interviewed a pre school class.

Anyway president pence will be a great plan b if he can keep clean. Starting to question everyone though. Ten bucks my guy did not collude with Russia. Ben Carson will be clean!!

WIll Pence have the gonads to implement the major items on the Trump agenda?

If CNN or MSNBC is proven wrong, will they admit it? Or will the zombies just keep lapping it up?

So that means there was probable cause sufficient for a FISA judge to issue a wiretap order.

A FISA judge appointed by the SCOTUS Chief Justice.

While Hillary was also being investigated by the FBI which Trump pointed out repeatedly during the election.

As a layperson, it seems possible probable cause could be misrepresented. No?

Also, as Speaker of the House, wouldn't Paul Ryan be privy to the findings regarding Russian tampering? Because he recently said definitively there was no evidence or connection between Trump and Russia.

“We have seen no evidence from any of these ongoing investigations that anybody in the Trump campaign or the Trump team was involved in any of this,”

What am I missing here?

Sean Hannity, on Twitter, has been grilling former Obama administration officials, including Obama himself, to the effect of, and I paraphrase:

"June 2016: FISA request. The Obama administration files a request with the FISA court to monitor communications involving Donald Trump-- why?

"That July request was denied. Then another FISA request was filed in October, no evidence was found but the wiretaps continued. Why Valerie?

"After a FISA request is first denied, then a second one is filed and no evidence is found, why did the Government of BHO keep surveillance?"

Probable cause misrepresented? There's an affidavit signed under oath presented to the judge. What you are missing is that if something was misrepresented, Trump could declassify and release that affidavit today. He hasn't. He instead tweeted.

Paul Ryan wouldn't necessarily be privy to all of it and wouldn't be above mischaracterizing what he has been privy to.

I don't know what you are or aren't missing. It sure seems to me that you are giving wiretaps much more credence from the very beginning than you did Russia at the very beginning of those. Why the lack of skepticism now? You dismissed early speculation on Russia and called for evidence before believing. Now you're the one speculating on various ways it might (you hope?) be true instead of calling for proof.

FBI ‘Granted FISA Warrant’ Covering Trump Camp’s Ties To Russia

November 7, 2016

https://heatst.com/world/exclusive-fbi-granted-fisa-warrant-covering-trump-camps-ties-to-russia/
sources say, because the counter-intelligence and criminal sides of the FBI often work independently of each other employing the principle of ‘compartmentalization’. -- Sources I don't like. The rest of the statement is true enough.

it is thought in the intelligence community that the warrant covers any ‘US person’ connected to this investigation, -- This would be too broad and I would expect not held up in higher court. This is why I hate the FISA courts.

In June, when the first FISA warrant was denied -- FISA is rarely denied. That would be a story by itself.

We are getting closer to something to examine. It sounds more like a FBI request to look at NSA metadata that was collected. Still needs more information. Too many "sources". I don't think the media knows how to investigate these kinds of things. They don't know what rock to turn over.

We need an independent (as possible) panel investigation.

ITT I called for all the cards to be put on the table. So yes I expect proof or consequences of both Russian collusion and wiretapping claims and prosecution for whatever is proven.

I've thought the Russian thing and the over the top attacks & rhetoric was bullshit for a long time. The wire tapping fits that belief to me - explains the leaks and makes me wonder why no evidence of Russian collision has been leaked? I believe it's because they went all in on it and it turned out to be a dry hole. what's so hard to understand about it? Why would I display balanced skepticism when this fits right in with what I know and believe about unConstitutional objectives and activities of Obsma and the authoritarian usurpation of power I expect from globalists? You continue mistake this as Trump cheering when if fact, it fits perfectly with my consistent narrative against globalism and the lengths globalists will go to in order to undermine something as antithetical to their goals as Trump.

Speaking of skepticism, yours seems focused in one direction lately. As someone who like you doesn't care for authority, I can't believe the idea of this wire tapping a political candidate doesn't set you on fire. I miss that JD.

i don't disagree one bit

but this susan collins might as well be jackie collins

she sits on the senate intelligence committee calls for evidence then offers her
"russian boogeyman" theory on national tv

my theory is there will be no great butter knife slicing through to the truth

I want the proof before I start blowing my lid.

I'm also a big believer in checks and balances and the 4th Amendment warrant requirement and understand the likelihood that Obama colluded with a FISA judge to attack a political opponent is very low. Wiretapping a political candidate with a warrant isn't that far off from investigating a candidate and Director having two press conferences commenting on the results right in the middle of the election. Trump....nobody really...had any problem with that. The hand wringing over wiretapping a political candidate rings completely false coming from you, Trump, or pretty much anyone else.

If you had bothered to look, you would have seen that I have been a critic of the NSA metadata program and the secret FISA courts as far back as Snowden....particularly in their use when American citizens are the focus. If you miss me pointing out that repeatedly, then I will do it again.

NSA metadata program is unconstitutional when utilized against American citizens.

The FISA courts are a "star chamber" without advise and consent of the Senate or Presidential appointment.

Both are examples of the march to authoritarianism both parties have willingly and enthusiastically engaged in whenever they are in power.

How's that?

I like Trump so far but this scares me more than anything. This more than anything needs to be addressed rationally.

Fair enough. You obviously know more about the nuts and bolts of this stuff. I have far less faith in the sanctity of the law and it's moving parts than you do and I don't think Obama would blink at abusing his power to wire tap a political rival under other pretenses. It would be surprising if he didn't.

Jd I think your characterization of a fisa judge is an ideal one. Almost everyone here thinks a crook ascended to the White House in one of the last three terms. Why is it so easily dismissed a judge had been compromised? Maybe they had video of him using a penis pump at the bench???

Washington has been big on barking and not punishing anybody, somehow I think all of this gets confined to political mudslinging and the collective swamp keeps this from going nuclear.

I think that would be counter to what the American people want on both sides of aisle. The gap between left and right is shrinking. Which means that apathy is shrinking with it.

Because they work at the discretion of of a conservative appointed SCOTUS Chief Justice that could remove them if they had been compromised by Obama and they weren't appointed by Obama. Also because, it appears they rejected an original app as overbroad.

Anything is possible....no matter how incredibly unlikely. When the unlikeliness of the assertion is high (as I believe that assertion is), the proof of the assertion should be exceedingly clear before proceeding as it or assuming it is true.

Looks like the intelligence community was also illegally eavesdropping on Jeff Sessions in the Senate Office Building in March 2016 without a warrant. FISA warrant was not obtained until October.

What did Barrack Hussein Obama know...and when did he know it?
