Let's take it easy on the dang ref and be honest. This is a tough, tough sport to officiate. These guys work hard. They also screw up. Sometimes it breaks our way and sometimes it doesn't. IMHO that's one of the things that makes this sport so infuriatingly entertaining.

I love the raised mat. Added a feeling of importance and grit to this dual…which was sorely needed.

I saw a bunch of different attendance numbers and I don't know which was accurate, but kudos to everyone who showed up and supported. Also kudos to the folks who promoted this thing. Keep it up guys.

For a Cowboy who has to cheer from a distance, the only thing I have is the live video feed. Please get a professional to produce those things. Please. Too many times we go to a replay when there's action happening on the mat. And why do we cut to the stock OSU brand when we could show the coaches talking to the refs or a wrestler getting prepped to go back on the mat or anything other than a graphic?

Our wrestlers are improving…..greatly. We wrestled well today and deserve a quick pat on the back. All of the folks who were worked up after the Iowa dual and calling for John's head should write this down and remember it next year when we don't look like world beaters in December.

We need to improve….greatly. I love how we went out and took it to them early in most every match, but we need to wrestle the entire 7 minutes. Iowa looks to be the favorite in March, but we can be right there with them if wrestle like we did today for the ENTIRE tourney.

Crutchmer is the man. I don't care if he lost. He is in every match he wrestles and will impress in St. Louis.

Hate to see Kindig go out like that in his last home match. Kid is tough as nails and has overcome some serious adversity. I hope that loss doesn't hurt his seeding too bad.

Props to Eddie for wrestling till the end, to Heil for wrestling smart, to Collica for setting a tone, to Dieringer for leading by example, to Nolan for slowing down and wrestling for the team, and to Austin for not forcing me to drink on a Sunday.

Sorry for the rant….

I completely agree about the replays during the match, drives me crazy!! Do replays between matches or have a time after the match dedicated to reviewing some calls and replaying some of the action. Earlier this year they cut away for a replay of one of ADs TDs and the audio in the background was AD getting another TD for a pin.

I thought the atmosphere yesterday was great. I have to admit that I thought we were done for when Kindig got pinned, but the rest of the guys bucked up and refused to lose. Tough way for Josh to end his home career, but it just goes to show that anything can happen out on the mat. One tiny mistake can end a match quickly, especially against a team that is as well trained to look for the fall as PSU is. I am not mistaking this PSU team for any of the ones from the past few years, but it was still a great win.

A couple of great wins for Collica against DeAngelis and Alton. Anthony is still small for the weight, but I like what he showed against those two. Crutchmer is just one tough dude. He has shown that he can take the top guys to the wire. If he just had a go-to takedown and a better set of lungs, who knows how far he could go. That being said, he is extremely opportunistic and can take advantage of any mistake.

Marsden looked like he was ill, but he found a way to win. GWH is still one of my favorites and will be very good when he quits making those freshman mistakes.

All in all, great win and a great experience. Hopefully some new fans were created yesterday.

What the heck was going wrong with the scoreboard and riding time? Heard the announcers talking about it as if this were an every match occurrence.

Has anyone else who watches online had the audio be messed up every time? Everything repeats. So annoying.

Mr B: Yes, CSL even said they couldn't replicate the problem...what I do is mute the volume on the stream and then I get perfect audio

I was pretty discouraged and critical after the Iowa duel and while I still think this is a team who won't realistically contend that was a great win on Sunday and the team has shown some very strong improvement.

Crutchmer is a guy that just keeps progressing and it wouldn't surprise me at all for him to squarely be in the AA mix come March. Tough kid who hopefully is gaining more fitness every week.

Collica has also continued to improve and he will be a terror at 149 next year.

The ostate.tv feed was bad as was the girl doing the PBP. She struggled with the simple rules and scoring of the meet and also wanted to go to replay several times when the action was restarting. I just think we could do better there.
