What the B10 and the SEC have just about done is syphon off 3 or 4 of the last of the big dogs on the block (not sure I think UCLA is in that category). Maybe there are 2, 3, or 4 more teams of note to be had. Being Clemson, FSU, (one or two others)? That would draw more eyes to a conference and hence tv revenue as well. Which would suck up all the air out the room. Maximize revenue for a conference or two, making sure they have the teams to saturate the playoffs, more revenue. Leaving 48 (or so?) other teams/conferences to lap up the leftovers. Nice job by their commissioners/presidents/tv partners, etc.
