Adam Schiff also has reluctantly tapped the brakes re: impeachment.
If she's telling the truth. The hatred for Trump will win out in the end for these people. They'll dangle impeachment out there until that man is out of the White House.

For whatever reason (and there are a few compelling theories), Trump no longer poses a threat to the swamp he promised to drain.
From Pelosi’s angle, it would be easier and less messy to take Trump down at the ballot box — pretty likely considering Trump only won by several hundred thousand votes across several states in 2016 (plus four more years of demographic changes).
Based on the campaign he ran in 2016, I don’t think anyone expected Trump to be relegated to complaining about how unfair the system is on Twitter — while privately bragging he could become president of a foreign country.

There’s literally nothing which supports the idea that he was once a threat to the swamp but now is not. Either he never was or he still is.
