so who are the Oklahoma kids going to Fargo?

Fix will not be there as he leaves today for the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to train for the upcoming Junior World Freestyle championships in France in early September.
I looked at the list for junior FS and there are alot of Oklahoma kids. To many to list, probably around 4 or 5 per weight. Keegan Moore and Ethan Anderson are also registered.
Who are the ones to watch? These were the Oklahoman's I saw ranked on Flo

No Oklahoma free style list for Oklahoma Juniors but the Greco list is out and the action in Junior Greco is underway. Normally, many of our better wrestlers do not compete in Greco. Of note so far in competition Dalton Duffield (OU recruit) at 120has won his first two matches by fall. Jet Taylor has had two tech falls at 120. Jack Karstetter at 126 has two tech falls in his two matches,Brik Flippo has a 2-1 record at 138 as does Jacob Blumenthal at this same weight, Jaryn Curry at 152 is 1-1, Dan Baker at 182 is 3-0;Trenton Lieurance is 2-0 by virtue of two falls at heavyweight.
Update as of ten minutes ago in Junior Greco. 120 Dalton Duffield 3-0 all falls; 120 Jet Taylor 3-0 all techs; 126 Jack Karstetter 3-0; 138 Brik Flippo 4-1; 152 Jaryn Curry 3-1; 182 Dan Baker 3-0; 182 Bear Hughes 3-1; 195 Dakota Carnes 3-1; 220 Mateo Pena 2-1; 285 Trenton Lieurance 2-0 285 Gage Johnson 2-1. 100 Cooper Cox has not yet wrestled rec'd bye in Championship round. 34 Oklahoma entrants and 12 are still in the running. Many if not most of the 12 remaining will wrestle both styles but the Freestyle list has not been released yet as Freestyle does not start until Friday.
Duffield had a tech fall 11-0 over Jet Taylor in the semis and will wrestle Tate Carney of Kansas in the finals. Taylor will be wrestling for third place against Skudarc of Texas. Dan Baker will be wrestling for 7th at 182. Jack Karstetter will be in the 7th place match at 126. Oklahoma has 4 AA's in Junior Greco. Congrats to the Oklahoma team!
Yes. Duffield has signed and will be there in fall. They are fairly deep at 25....Milhoff, Moody, and Duffield. Milhoff might redshirt and if that happens Moody would be the guy. None of them are big enough for 33. Word is Milhoff does not want to redshirt.
Dalton Duffield won it at 120 and Jett Taylor took 3rd.

Watched the Duffield match against Macias of Illinois which he won by tf 12-2. This was the only two points he gaveup the whole tournament and he gave them up on a counter move by Macias. To answer Micco's question about Brik Flippo he won his first two matches by tech fall and then was defeated 6-5. He then won two more matches one by fall and one by tech fall before being defeated again and finished out of the AA round. so he finished 4-2.
Illinois ran away with the team title scoring 72 points almost doubling 2nd place Minnesota who had 38 pts. Clorado, California and Oregon were the rest of the top 5. Oklahoma was 14th with 17 points which put them ahead of NY,Utah, OhionTexas, Missouri, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia. Not a bad showing for Oklahoma who does not put an emphasis on GR wrestling.
Also, FS registration is open until tomorrow so there won't be a list until after that.
Probably same reason as to why a lot of AAs do....prolong their years of eligibility possibly in hopes that a weight class may thin out....or possibly to keep eligibility with what seems to be major coaching changes ahead after this year.

Updated Cadet FS results as of 3pm 113 Colt Newton is 5-1 and wrestles Mastrogi of NJ in next round. Dustin Plott at 132 is 5-1 and is assured 8th place. Roderick Mosley at 132 is 7-1 and still in running for AA. Hunter Jump at 152 has ensured AA status and will finish at least 8th. He lost in the qtrs. but came back and dec Ortiz of Fl. 9-8.At 220 Cabe Dickerson is ensured AA and 8th place. Montana Philliips at 285 is undefeated and won by fall in the qtrs. He is assured of 6th place. I believe all other wrestlers are out.
Colt Newton is wrestling for third. He just beat the #2 ranked guy in the country at 113 by tech fall 10-0. Mosley went beast mode on the backside winning 8 in a row. If Plott wins and Mosely win their next matches then they'll wrestle each other for 3rd and 4th. Montana Phillips from Lawton Mac is a double AA this year and now is also a double finalist.
Freestyle has started and highlights so far or as in the first stat, a low life, Kaden Gfeller won his first match by tf 10-0 but has inj defaulted in his next two matches and is out. Paxton Rosen has two t3ech falls and is 2-0. Garret Wild at 120 is 2-1 but his loss came at the hands of Brandon Courtney, one of the top seeds. Dalton Duffield at 120 is 2-0 and Jet Taylor at `20 is 2-0. Brandon Bright at `26z is 3-0. Jacob Butler at 132 lost his first match but has won 3 matches in consos by tech falls. Brik Filippo is 3-1 and all of his victories have been by tech fall but lost by tech fall to Carter Happel of Iowa. Wyatt Sheets at 152 is 2-0 both by tech fall. Jaryn Curry at 160 is 3-0 all by tech fall, Christian Bahl is 3-1. Dakota Carnes at 195 is 3-1. Dan Baker at 195 is 2-0 both by tech fall. Gunner Cash is 2-1 at 220. Gage Johnson lost to Carter Isley of Iowa bvut came back with a fall and tech fall to be 2-1.
Final Results for Oklahoma are as follows in the Cadet Free style: Colt Newton is 4th at 113. Dustin Plott is 4th at 132. Roderick Mosley is 6th at 132. Hunter Jump is 8th at 152. Cabe Dickerson is 8th at 220. Montana Phillips is 2nd at 285. A total of six AA's in Cadet Freestyle. Congrats to the Oklahoma All-Americans!
According to Track he did compete in one match which he won 10-0 tech fall.Thanks for the update on the type of injury.
