Sexual Abuse in SBC series in Houston Chronicle

Yes they should.

The response has been good. No one wants to cover this garbage.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this kind of story done on just about every denomination in the next year or so.

I hope they catch every one of those pervs and throw them in jail.

Disgusting. I know we are all sinners and make mistakes and that nothing we do is so bad that God cannot use us and call us his but I have to believe there is a special place for these.

I have a good friend that has dealt with this in his family and it has been heartbreaking for many years and it has hurt for many years and it has caused one that was deep in faith to be faithless.

I am scared this is happening way more than we realize. Mega church pastors have decided to hire church staff that are uneducated and train them. Why in the hell is 2nd Baptist in Houston hiring a 30 year old who was a fireman without a college degree to be their youth minister at one of their satellite campuses?

At the church I grew up in we had an associate pastor who was there forever and in his 60s was convicted of molestation. Who knows how many victims he had.

At Prestonwood BC, the guy that was going to take Jack Graham’s place was charged with child porn.

There was a Sunday School teacher at FBC Frisco that passed a background check that was eventually discovered to be a sex offender.

Churches need to make this a serious issue. The damage to the victims has to be incredibly bad.

Way to much of sweeping this under the rug and allowing people to go to another church and do even more damage.
