Just did a quick check, so don't hold me to the exact math, but if you take the 16 seeds and award advancement and placement points...I get
Missouri 90
Iowa 83
Ohio State 78.5
OSU 7th at 43.

Now, you ask me if I think the seedings are accurate, answer is "no" in several cases. But even if we all thought they were perfect, it rarely goes totally with the seeds. Note: the above figuring does not award bonus points (too tough to predict).

anyway, should be fun.

I am going to hold you to the exact math and if the tournament turns out this way it would be a statistical miracle. Houdashelt seeded #1 and Kindig who beat him is unseeded. Don't get me wrong I see several reasons why this should be so but just saying statistics and seeding have a way of being un-predictive and unproductive. I sort of understand the reasoning about Kindig based on their criteria but it is not comprehensible to me that they seed Brewer 13th at 133.

I really like Collica's draw. It appears that his seeded opponent in the first round will likely default. In the second round he would face Realbuto of Cornell who is the second seed, but he should be able to defeat everyone else in the consolation bracket up to the round of 12 and one upset of the two 2nd or 7th seed before the quarters and he would wrestle a lower or unseeded guy in the round of 12.

Where are you seeing that? I just checked Brown's twitter account and they've been active today including Staudenmeyer in their stuff as if he's competing. He's also listed as a go in their press release that came out today.

Edit: And now Earl from D1CollegeWrestling.net just tweeted out a picture of Staudenmeyer working out on the mats in St. Louis.

Brown's Staudenmayer at 157 tore up a knee in early round at EIWA and is likely to scratch.

This is all I have to go by so apparently he is wrestling and from his results he is tough.
