Saudi Arabia

Personally I think Iran is the key player in the region. SA is just one piece of a puzzle to counter Iran. Still nice to SA spending money with the US. To bad their military will not be able to use it to its capability. Better they spend that money with US instead of Russia though.

SA does a lot more than people think, they support our efforts more than any other country in the region, they are one of only three countries we have exported F-15Es to (Israel and S. Korea being the other,s) we have to keep them strong

If you mean support our efforts to the tune of kicking us out then yea. They hate Iran and that is enough. They also know we are the only standing between them and Iran and we left the region they would quickly get over run by Iran. Like I said I would rather sell them equipment than the Russians but I would not count on them in a fight.

Maybe while we're at it we can get them to stop funding extremist mosques throughout the world.

I get that politics is convoluted and a dirty business, but the rulers of Saudi Arabia are some very sick f*cks.
You do know that we also fund extremist around the world, when we do it no one cares

Oklahoma states flight school is full of saudi's.

This is why I don't join in your constant muslim gang bang on here. Ultimately it's self-destructive and wrong to tell a good and principled guy, like Kanter, that this country treats him differently because he's a muslim. His immigration and involvement here should be encouraged, not discouraged.

edit: I'm not ripping your post about the flight school. Why do they come over here? There has to be flight schools all over Europe and Asia.

I don't know how many saudis are in the us doing flight school but somehow osu has fostered a relationship with that country. They make up a big percentage of the flight school and I assume it is for military purposes.

This is where we diverge. Muslims get treated different for a reason. It's unfortunate but there is a difference when you see an old Japanese lady and a young Muslim male. I was watching trump walk through all the Saudi guards this morning and thought what a victory it would be for isis for some suicidal Muslim to stick his bayonet through trump. It's not racist it's reality.

No argument, but overall we do far more good than bad around the world. Not the case with the Saudis. I was also referring to the disgusting, hedonistic lifestyles that the Saudi royals live. Bunch of filthy animals. I have collectively no respect at all for them.

Well the guys on the receiving end do

A lot of people around the world might disagree with your first sentence

The CIA has a history of screwing things up and getting results that were unintended. I just read an article where they lost 20 informants in China and it shut down information flow to the US. According to the article they don't know what tipped off the Chinese.

With that being said I am hopeful that Trump can repair some US image overseas. So far this trip has been good for that. It's a good move for him.

As long as the Saudis are the first to attack Iran after they shut down The Staight of Hormuz then I'm okay with this....if not and they expect The US to do the heavy lifting then screw them!

They're not doing SHIT against Iran. They're not doing anything that will potentially imperil their monarchy. Maybe we just think they're the only arab country that can defend itself against an aggressive Iran?

A buddy of mine was driving convoys every day from Saudi into Kuwait during the first gulf war. The day of the cease fire, they were driving back to their base in Saudi and they didn't yet know about their cease fire. They drove through two villages and had no windows left by the time they left the second village. The locals picked up rocks literally as soon as there was a cease fire and knocked their windows out, after the U.S. had been protecting them.

Did anybody see the big anti-terror control-room thing on the news today from Saudi Arabia? It was some kind of dystopian sci-fi thing. The TV caption was it was an anti extremist Command Center and there were Acres of computers and monitors with guys all dressed in the exact same robes.
