Watch "Icarus" on Netflix.

It is amazing...interesting...and insane.

Those Russians are still cagey, scheming, vindictive cold warriors.

Also, the Director did a three hour podcast with Rogan that is also very engaging.

Is it a documentary type show or a movie? Just curious.

Documentary.

Amateur cyclist/movie maker starts off making a movie about doping/Lance Armstrong, gets hooked up with the head of the Russian anti-doping WADA lab and ends up making a movie about massive doping program of entire Russia sporting ministry during Sochi Olympics. Basically proves 100% of Russian athletes were undeniabily doping to the gills. Also shows the investigation afterwards resulting in death threats and the Russian WADA lab Director going into the Witness Protection Program.

Lol about Rodchekov. I feel exactly the same way. I'm not so sure he's a total sleaze as much as he is a guy that was trapped by a totalitarian system and doing what he did to survive in the situation he found himself.

So does the new OU strength coach look like the guy from Russia that went in to the witness protection program? Just asking for a friend.

I loved it. I thought there was a big discussion about it on here a few months ago. Pretty sure that’s why I picked it up.

Gives you a pretty amazing look into what goes on.

If countries do this shit for medals...

Pretend the foreign enemy aided and abetted a democrat.

For the thousandth time, I can't stand Donald Trump. That you think pretending it abetted a Democrat makes a difference is a huge part of the problem.

I am much more frightened (and you should be as well) that you apparently believe anyone would trust something they read on Facebook. If true, it's the biggest threat to our society by a landslide.

Well, it depends on what it is on facebook. If it's a peer-reviewed article or some type of journalism from a reputable source with some baseline of ethics, it may be believable. I sure agree there's a ton of misinformation for the feeble-minded.

I guess where I can't follow is that you are amazed anyone believes facebook and it's "the biggest threat to our society by a landslide" but you also fail to see the faux outrage. Tough to reconcile those two statements imo.

Isn't that a foreign countries job to try to influence other countries to be more amenable to their best interests?
Don't want to be deceived by deceptive advertising? Educate yourself.
Don't want to spend time chasing your tail during the campaign? Have better cyber-security.

The United States does the exact same thing and worse to other countries and their elections. I don't see the big deal.

I don't think that the Trump campaign colluded in any of those efforts. That's where I would draw the line.

I still find it amazing that people think that $100K in facebook advertising made any significant difference in an election that spent over $2 Billion.

I still find it amazing that people thought democrats set up a child sex operation in a pizzeria.

I think the Russians paid to promote posts on Facebook. Explain to me why you think this is anything more than a trivial footnote in history.

A foreign enemy wanted Donald Trump to be POTUS and worked to achieve that objective. If that doesn't trigger lots of follow up questions from a reasonably objective American, I don't know what would.

My answer to that is 'so what?' I really don't care. That's their job.

IF Trump colluded - then I care. Anything else, meh.

This is gobblygoop. GIve me detailed questions that I should be asking.

More like a foreign enemy/1980's foreign policy didn't want to see President Hillary Clinton because of her actions as SecState.

So our POTUS’s slick move is to buddy up to a known enemy on many fronts. Brilliant, feasible long-term solution to the problem. No sanctions, let them supply totalitarian dictators weapons, no worries!

No, more like Russia threw some money around in the election because they didn't want HRC to be president after she meddled around in their elections/affairs. The Obama Administration's fumbling around in Syria at the time didn't help, and at the end of the day, if Russia can weaken the US or at least make it appear foolish, they're going to do it.

All of that happened regardless of Trump.

And in fact, per the same investigation actually started 2 years before Trump was even a presidential candidate.

Eh. I respectfully decline to convince someone that doesn't love America why they're supposed to care. This statement should be sufficient for you to formulate your own questions:

If true, it's the biggest threat to our society by a landslide.

My answer to that is 'so what?' I really don't care. That's their job.

Of course that's your take. Your side won, why would you be critical? Your values prevailed. The country that poisons dissidents, sponsors terrorism, oppresses human rights, fights against democracy, shoots down civilian airliners, rigs elections, cheats at everything.... they won. You ripping Russia would be like me ripping Boynton if he wins tonight.

The United States does the exact same thing and worse to other countries and their elections. I don't see the big deal.

To whom have we done the same exact thing?
