Almost all American Indian tribes practiced various forms of anarchism before the Europeans showed up. That's the best I've got.Do you have any examples of successful individual anarchist societies from the past or present day?
I agree with most of what you said. But I disagree that MOST immigrants will happily vote to take away rights. Most immigrants (of the Latin American variety, at any rate) are here for the work. The fact the government will give them free stuff is a happy circumstance in their eyes, but they did not come here to interfere with America's political process, or to grab up welfare benefits. Most of the Mexicans I know (and I know a lot of them since I work in construction) have no interest in American politics. In their eyes that's for the citizens, not them. They are Mexicans, are proud to be Mexicans, regret they had to come here to find work, but are happy the work is available. They are not thieves, murderers or rapists. They are people that give a full day's work for a full day's pay. They have no interest in taking away rights in order to secure government handouts. If we hadn't passed the Immigration Act of 1965 (which shifted our immigrant influx from high IQ Europeans into low IQ third world countries -- by design)
--- or alternatively, if we had elected Pat Buchanan followed by Ron Paul
--- then we might have had a chance of having an anarchist pocket within our libertarian society.
As of now, our biggest question is whether we can retain our basic constitutionally protected freedoms and rights without breaking up as a country.
Simply look at the polling data from new immigrant demographics on key issues such as:
- free speech
- free expression
- gun rights
Most immigrants have no concept of any of these things (while our education system teaches them to be 'oppressive') --- and new immigrants will happily vote to take rights away from lawabiding Americans in exchange for Dem welfare payments.
Moral of the story: demographics is destiny.
Thanks. I'll do some reading.Almost all American Indian tribes practiced various forms of anarchism before the Europeans showed up. That's the best I've got.
So, the prime example is one that was somewhat easily removed by organized forces? Half-kidding.Almost all American Indian tribes practiced various forms of anarchism before the Europeans showed up. That's the best I've got.
Ron Paul is working on it. To no avail unfortunately. It's not about what you or I think --- it's what the polling data clearly and overwhelmingly shows.
Here are two recent and important examples:
1. Note the support for restricting speech (taking away rights) broken down by race / ethnicity. This poll is from 2017.
2. Note the support for gun control (taking away rights) amongst foreign-born Hispanics.
Combine these massive and growing foreign-born populations (coming mostly from corrupt countries with low-ranking freedom indexes) with:
-- an American media that overwhelmingly pushes an agenda of restricting speech (and restricting gun rights)
-- an education system that pushes restricting rights (in the name of social justice)
And you get the idea. (#Demographics-Is-Destiny)
I'm all for libertarianism, in theory. I'm a libertarian at heart.
But if organized libertarians wanted to truly be useful and relevant in the current environment, they'd focus all their efforts on exposing and ending the Federal Reserve.

Sorry to see you go. If you change your mind you’re always welcome back.Don't kid at all.
As long as self interest Is part of humans, an organized tribe will always out perform an unorganized one.
Self interest isn't going anywhere, certainly not on any wholesale level. Scarcity of resources the cornerstone culprit.
Those two points are why, @Ponca Dan , I'm out.
