I can’t name names because I’m too damned old to remember but I’ve seen every Nativist argument he discusses brought up on this board. So, yes, I believe there are people that write on this board that could be described as being against immigration. I recognize that virtually all the arguments are directed at immigration of the illegal variety. That doesn’t alter the fact that nativist arguments are being spouted.

Robert Higgs is a very highly respected economist and economic historian, one of a handful of men I hold in the highest regard. The Independent Institute blog is not his. He’s just one of many academics who write for it. Here’s a link to exactly who and what the Institute is about. Frankly, Medic, I think you would really enjoy reading most of the posts.

Thanks. I'll take a look. I wasn't impressed with his writing in that piece you linked though. I'll read more of his work.
