The wife and I will be in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area the first week of November. Going to need to relax her and keep her mind off of some things going on during the day. Any suggestions for evening entertainment, restaurants, site seeing, etc.? TIA

My wife is there now at the Camelback Inn through the weekend. I’ll see what she has to say when they get back.

This is my friend's place in Scottsdale. They serve a lot of wine from their family winery in California. They have a solid beer menu too.

So my wife and her traveling companions never left the resort, so I don't have a lot of info for you. They did say that the place they stayed was fantastic though. JW Marriot Camelback Inn.

JW Camelback is amazing. For future reference, great spots in the Valley include:

-- Postino (wine bar)
-- Culinary Dropout (good food, great bar, awesome patio area for drinking/games)
-- Hanny's (downtown; killer vibe, upscale, weird dolls in basement)
-- The Vig (great food, another cool spot with outdoor patio environment)
-- Mad Hatter Brew Pub (about 57 steps from Sun Devil Stadium; just the classic beer/football joint)

Next time any of y'all are out here, let me know.
