To borrow a phrase from Mike Gundy, I'm "back at it" after being limited most of the week with a medical issue and needing to help a family member. No worries on the medical front - looks like that deal has turned the corner and is getting healed up.
In any event, I'm currently sorting through participation charts and getting ready to update the Redshirt Tracker format for the current crop of freshmen. However, the simple matter of which true freshmen have played is quite easy to figure out. It's the same four guys that Coach Gundy tabbed in a preseason presser as being freshmen who would likely play - Darrion Daniels, Jalen McCleskey, Jeff Carr and Kenneth Edison-McGruder.
Right now, I'm not sure I see anyone else likely to break out of redshirt status. Injuries can always change that and are by nature unpredictable, but it looks like the bulk of the class will redshirt. Considering how many of those are OL, DL, QB and LB's, that's a definite positive for OSU if they're able to leave many in redshirt to mature.
I'll get the full tracker posted soon, but that's the nuts and bolts of it.
