Red onions are garbage

To dampen their impact, cut them up (if dicing, just slice and dice at the end) and soak them in ice water for 30 minutes.

Or just use less.

That’s a lot of effort. I’ll just stick to Vadalia

Vadalia’s aren’t onions. They are basically a less flavorful apple!

Seems like no matter how much of this stuff I use, it never overpowers the flavor of the dish. Good for gumbo, spaghetti sauce, alfredo sauce, gravy, etc. If your local store doesn't carry Guidry's brand, it probably has a national brand in the frozen vegetables section, near the frozen okra, etc. Basically just chopped up white onions and bell peppers with about a 2-1 ratio in favor of onions.
