My wife tutored the #1 gymnastics recruit in the country. Some of the stories she told about what schools were willing to give her to come there bordered on unbelievable for what I would consider a lower-tier non-revenue sport. She took all her trips (Bama, LSU, Utah, etc), of course, but she has known since she was 10 she was going to be a goon. They ended up paying her way, giving her cash, and paying for her sister to go to school and a salary for sister to be be her manager, too. She doesn't grad until 2026 and she gets stuff upfront. Hard to believe there is that kind of cash for a sport like that.
