Alot has transpired so far this season. So I just wanted to gauge everyones real expectations for this team and what you think they're capable of.
Everyone was talking about how brutal our first 5 game stretch was. Playing 3 of our toughest games on the road. A Top 25 club in Texas at home and a talented KSU team at home.
They fared well in their first 2 road games and came up short.
Forte and Nash seemed virtually unstoppable in the first 4 even though everyone knows that's our only options really.
Now vs OU that all seemed to change. No 3pointers in first half, lack of good press defense and scrapping play, Forte shut down, letting their best player for for 20+ and shooting 100%. Nash limited and stuff in post.
After an encouraging 2-2 start and a forgettable appearance in top 25, what now? We are now at 2-3 and took a step back IMO.
9-9 is the magic record. 8-10 just won't cut it unless we go on a great run in big 12 tournament.

Baylor
Away
Baylor
KSU
WVU
TCU
Tech
Texas
Wins: vs ISU, vs Tech, @ Tech, vs TCU, @ TCU, vs Baylor, vs OU
That gets us to 9-9.
The key is to sweep TCU and Tech which was much easier 2 years ago than now, protecting home court against beatable competition, and stealing one on the road.
There is no reason we theoretically can't beat Baylor, KSU, or WVU on the road. None. But we all know from watching OSU bball that for some reason, it's a mountain that we can't overcome. Is it players bball IQ? Ford bad coaching?
IDK but it almost seems impossible.
Stealing one or two on the road vs a non-TCU/TECH team would be huge. Which is why this game vs Tech and then @ KSU is huge.
