PSU vs Iowa

That was an awesome duel. I love watching quality wrestling regardless of the teams.

The ranking services have Iowa projected with 150 points at Nationals this year. Next year it will be even more with Eierman back and Cenzo & Hall gone.

Looking at 2021-22, we need to keep the recruiting momentum going. PSU has added Kerkvliet, Adam Busiello and Austin Boone (beat Voinovich this year) in the last few months.

Ha. Desanto is such a puss. Would have been pinned twice if he didn’t scream like a little girl.

I don’t know how badly his knee is injured I hope it’s not anything major. However the two times he seemed to be in extreme pain was when he was locked up in a tight cradle.

Part of me think DeSanto didn't want to get pinned so he cried wolf. If he is truly hurt, hopefully he can recover quickly as possible.

I thought the exact same thing watching it live. He is an odd duck and has shown in the past to be a poor loser.

The top guys are figuring out his pressure and undertook. I think you will those guys continue to distance themselves from him in terms of score.

I'm looking at his face as he gets craddled, and it's a complete 180, like he goes into a fragile state when he's about to get put on his back.

1) I agree, he's definitely "different", a unicorn in this sport in terms of temperament.

2) He's most definitely a sore loser and past history has shown that. He gave up 6 points at the end of the day, but he should've taken his pin and kept it moving IMO. It happens from time to time.

I do think he felt “something” and it did hurt him but it also happened at the exact time he was surprised he was countered and put into a cradle.

The second one was more of an “oh crap” I’m about to get pinned and my knee does still hurt so I’ll scream and get a stoppage IMO.

Yianni D does a similar counter to a head inside single. I like it quite a bit. Gives you one more really lethal counter to a head inside. I'm a little uncomfortable with a pin series that seems to threaten your knee stability. Maybe I'm wrong, but his set up is a lot different than Yianni's. Yianni's looks more like he's going to spladle, but gets the head close enough to the knee from a very similar starting point. RBY handled him. It felt like he was getting a little home cookin with the quick count on riding the low leg. The official kept counting when he adjusted above the knee.

Brands on the DeSanto “situation...”

“I think he maybe could have handled that a little bit differently, being calmer on the mat.

“I think if we could have gotten him calmed down a little bit, we could have gotten back in that match."

Sounds like he is saying that he was not injured just upset about having a tight cradle put on him twice.
