I was a bit surprised that GIA was a complete sellout for wrestling yesterday.
Unless I am missing something, this shows that winning will put butts in the seats. It has been a long time since basketball has consistently put a winning product on the floor, and I have been of the opinion that even a return to that would prevent OSU from packing GIA for all but a few key games. But, now I am more optimistic about attendance if/when the bball program gets things turned around.
I understand that 1 huge wrestling dual is not the same as 15 home bball games, but wins is what is needed to fix the attendance issues. It is probably the only thing that will do it.
