Several former Cowboys headed to Poland this weekend for international competition. This is a ranking tournament for UWW.

Jon Morrison (61), Dean Heil (65), and Jordan Oliver (70) should be competing. It will be interesting to me to see how they all do. Frank Perrelli, who trained here a couple years ago, (and who has been wrestling seemingly forever) is also going.

American results so far

57 Perrelli 2-0 in semis vs Italy
65 Eierman 1-1
65 Simmons 0-1
65 Oliver is in the semis at 2-0 vs either Russia (who beat Heil) or Romania (who beat Eierman)
65 Heil 0-1 lost to Rus
74 Richie Lewis 0-1
86 Downey, Brooks, and Courts all 1-0
97 seems to be round robin, Gadson is 1-1

In Greco, Hanckock is in the 97 semi at 2-0

Womens
Conder 1-1, Ragan 0-1, Molinari 0-1,

The UWW stream wasn't working for me.

Oliver wrestles the Russian, loses 9-8. That pulls Heil back in, setting up a potential all-Cowboy bronze matchup

Good to see JO make 65 kg with same day weigh-ins and wrestle well.

Micic has also been wrestling well on the senior level (for Serbia). I'd like to see him against Daton and Lee in freestyle.

It's been awhile but Daton teched him a few years ago.

That's true, but the following month Micic beat Daton in the finals of the Junior WTT. I think Daton wins if (when) they wrestle again, but Micic is very good. He won this weekend and he also took bronze at the Senior Euro's this year.

JO got a little banged up in the last 30 seconds of his semis against eventual champ Chakaev (RUS) and then forfeited his bronze match the next day. This tournament might have had a 2 kg weight allowance but JO still looked very good with the same day weigh in.

Jon Morrison lost by tech in his first match to Idrisov, the Russian nationals champ, but then didn't get pulled back into repechage.
