I understand the argument that stems from the benefit of ball control, slower play, keeping the defense rested, and I largely agree with it.
If our LB, DE, and CB depth is as deep and good as we've been hearing, would it not be in our best interest to play as fast as humanly possible?
You wear yourself out and the opposing team's defense, but you're deeper and hold up better, especially important in the 2nd half when defenses are gasses...you score at will, the other team scores, but your deeper defense also makes some stops.
