See the dramatic trend difference in only four years.

This was the plan all along (going back many decades) --- mass importing low skilled immigrants was never about appreciating the unique traits of of those cultures.

It was about importing voters with no concept of limited government and American mentalities (individualism, free speech, questioning dogmas, risk taking) --- and being guaranteed to receive immigrant votes (job security and power) through extending various government welfare programs. (which are never taken away)

It was a pretty ingenious plan -- and you can see the consequences throughout the west -- all western nations are imploding, at varying rates.

Can a country of 300+ million afford NOT to have pervasive government programs? As far as the top 8 on that chart, how many would you guys like to see defunded?

You can start with education. We spend more than any other industrialized country and have abysmal results. We used to be #1 in education results but have slipped far down the list. I blame much of that on Carter's Education Dept. and its dictates from DC. Education should be controlled at the local level without any national government involvement. Getting rid of teacher's unions, common core, outrageous administration salaries and top heavy bloated administrators will do more for education than throwing more money down that rat hole.

It's not that I easy. I think we should have a small, temporary safety net for people. That should be the premise. Then, cut from there. Get rid of waste. A great approach would be to ask agencies to prioritize what they do and detail what each costs. Then cut what makes sense.

If I had to answer, though, I would say all 8.

No way. A pew poll, a few days before a possible government shut down, claiming Americans prefer big government. I call bullshit.

Not to mention, the corporate media is portraying our possible first tax cuts in 15 years as "bad" --- while portraying working people's massive expenses toward health insurance as "good."

Love the choices....not! Where is stuff like medical care for illegals, phone give aways, subsidies for solar/wind/electric cars, ethanol subsidies, education for illegal children, irrelevant/overlapping federal programs/departments and so on. That list was one of red meat only where no matter what you picked it had to look like a game changer to go against the funding.
