Jeb Rubio and Cruz suffered temporary insanity when trying to battle trump. Like seriously had altered personalities and went off the deep end.

Will Hillary suffer the same fate? Will we get that moment?

Of course she will. It's like anxiously waiting for George Mcfly to chop off his arm in hot tub time machine.

Difference is the media will provide cover for her. They helped provoke the R's.

True they will try but she is getting pecked to death by a socialist who has been a democrat for about a year.

msnbc can't stand her and the networks have to cover trump whether they want to or not. Their advertisers will demand it. Look for npr to be a major super pac in her favor though. They are shameless at election time.

Don't forget Candy Crowley and George Stepinshitwhatever will do all they can as debate moderators to help.

I hope the RNC makes sure some tough conservative moderators are included in the debates. Hopefully, they will ask her pointed questions like made have done in GOP debates and not let her avoid answering.

HA!HA!HA!

What has Rence Priebus done to date that suggests he will capably insure anything gets done the way it should re the debates?

One interesting thing to ponder is that we have two candidates now - once Bernie runs out of gas.

Neither is likable. But one was propped up by her party so hard there was no way she couldn't win the nomination even though a 74 year old socialist gave her all she wanted. And the other had to fight upstream against 16 candidates and a party who didn't want him to win.

I just don't think Hillary is agile enough to handle what's coming. Right or wrong it'll play as establishment vs an outsider and there aren't many people who can give Trump an underdog role to play, but she does. She will trip up over things like "off the reservation" while he goes for her throat goiter with no remorse.

Fascinating.

All true. However, the mass media have wanted Trump to be the nominee for a long time. They don't, at least by and large, want him to be President, however.

Nothing but that's why I used "hope". All too often the RNC has let the democrats pick and veto moderators. This year Hildebitch needs to faces the onslaught of tough questions which she has never had to endure.

I think she's faced tough questions, just not called out on her answers.

Trump will be inexhaustible and merciless. He'll let the garbage she digs up and slings at him flow off his back just like it does her.

I think Trump will totally kill her in a debate because he'll use it as a personal launch pad to go after her. He may not answer a single question and just take every reply time he has to come off the top rope over and over and over again. She'll not know how to handle that.

This is what I am saying. He will go for the win instead of the mass appeal. Part of that strategy involves eroding her illusion. He doesn't need to gain support of women, hispanics and blacks nearly as much as he needs to cloud support for her, and he will be as you said, merciless in that regard. It will work. The Libertarians have an opportunity here to drive past the train wreck that DT v HRC will be in the GE, but I'm doubtful they will.

Again though, fascinating.

She'll screech or laugh hysterically. Either way she'll come off badly.

You, Ochi, and Mega all sound very convincing, but the media will be in hyper-destruct mode when it comes to him vs. preserving Barry's legacy/ensuring she's elected to preserve same. He has no self-discipline when it comes to being attacked, and I guarantee he'll lapse into yammering magpie mode (Cruz' father and Lee Harvey for example) and piss off even more folks.

I'm not sure his counterpunch philosophy is a lack of self discipline. The guy just backed the entire GOP down and he is a master of the media. I don't see the weakness.

The media didn't give a shit what he said about Republican candidates by and large. They will with the presumptive V-in-Chief.

Disagree. Everything he said or did was reported as the beginning of the end for nearly a year and it always made him stronger. The guy has made a career of manipulating the media.

His draw is strengthened by people trying to bring him down. Including the media.

Granted....Hillary is a terrible candidate, but it's just hard for me to see a Republican win an election in which many Republicans aren't going to vote for the nominee.

If the election were held today I'd vote Johnson but even I'll admit I could be swayed....it's a long way to November.

Yes but I'm not even really referring to people on this board so much. In general though, seeing Trump as the only thing standing in front of a Hillary presidency, a lot of leadership and voters who say never trump today will be first in line to vote for him when it's nut cutting time. Easy to have principles in May.

The top issue for me this election is who gets on the Supreme Court. While I don't know who Trump will nominate, I know who Hildebitch will. That's sufficient.

Other issues that we know Hildebitch will implement or expand are, 1) open borders and millions more illegals which we'll be taxed to feed, house, educate and medicate, 2) more environmental nitwittery forced on businesses and individuals which will make the costs of everything more expensive, 3) a further raping of the military and ignoring terrorism, 4) more politically correct impositions on free speech, 5) a further eroding of education while increasing taxes and lavishing benefits on teacher's unions, 6) more onerous regulations on energy producers in coal, oil and gas, and if this doesn't scare you, 7) say goodbye to your guns.

AMEN! There are two of us in this household that can't stand the POS, nor listen to his crap. That said, we're both "mature" enough to remember the Clinton's were "sofa king scummy" from Arky and thereafter, that we'll vote for the devil before "Obama 3rd term". Sickening, but there are two turds in America's punchbowl to choose from........

I have three teenagers. I probably know at least a hundred.
Interesting. Every single Bernie supporter I know wouldn't vote for Trump in a million years. They'll either vote for Hillary in the GE, or they won't vote at all (the more likely scenario).

Oh you are right about most of them. Most are brainwashed against "republicans." But a significant % are just anti establishment (and stupid) and are easily influenced. Trump will get some of those.
