Pelosi Says SCOTUS Immoral

She’s literally in charge of the branch of government responsible for writing and passing the legislation needed to do something like this rather than passing the buck to the CDC (which is absurd).

What a time to be alive. 🤣

Yep. She could get off her drunken ass and pass some legislation.

Is this one of those instances where we should be careful what we wish for? I honestly don't want her to be able to pass anything that she and the progressives want to enact.

I'm certain any legislation that forced landlords to provide housing without rental payments would be Un-Constitutional.
Hard to judge how hypothetical legislation would have been structured.

That said, even your scenario is still miles better than abdicating responsibility entirely to the facking Center for Disease Control.

That too. In my opinion, robbing any entrepreneur of their livelihood is un-American and un-Constitutional.
Fair. I just think it’s important to differentiate Wall Street ghouls from actual entrepreneurs out there making the machinery of the economy run despite everyone’s best efforts to hinder them.

what's funny is they could have easily solved this. Tie the eviction moratorium to the rental assistance program. That way, if you aren't participating and helping your landlord get paid, he's free to throw you out on your ass. But to separate the two items like they did is completely obsurd. Also, evictions for reasons other than rent should not be restricted. Bad tenants whom damage property or violate other clauses of the rental agreement should not get carte blanche protection simply because of our man-made pandemic. But of course, no one in government can actually do something simple and sensible such as above. Its simply beyond the capability of any of the geriatrics who are in charge of running this country.

Well the investor class will get taken care of.

It’s middle class Joe and wife that bought few rental properties as a retirement hedge that get to eat this shit sandwich.

And then watch as some huge real estate corporation with a big DC lobby swoops in and buys their properties on fire sale so they don’t go bankrupt.

No votes to be gained by actually solving problems.

Nanshee wrote the book on perpetuating them so you can fundraise off the squealing.

Bought with low interest loans and taxpayer subsidies taken out of the pockets of the same middle and upper middle class people getting foreclosed on.

The American dream in 2021.
