Paul Ryan backs Gowdy re: FBI

I’ve often thought Gowdy seemed much more interested in the truth and justice than in scoring political points. He would make a great director of the FBI.

This story might dwarf all others.

he’d be in pakistan if cank won

now he gets to tell us he was the lynch pin the obama/cank DNC leadership cadre used to spy and build files on their own people

He has the keys to the kingdom and last I read they were looking for a plea deal.

@Rdcldad

Guys, it's beyond anything, and yes, some sort of plea is supposedly in the works. Do foreign spys usually get "plea deals?"

We used to have different means of handing foreign spys.

And this new information is coming out, that back in 2009, a "mysterious foreigner" intervened inside Pakistan, to help Awan's *father* arrange some sort of crazy land deal.

This new info is just one tiny branch of the whole saga -- but it's reflective of the total strangeness.

Flashback:

Debbie threatened the DC police chief with "consequences" --- if he doesn't hand ex IT staffer's laptop back over to her.

Watch how she operates -- this is like a f*cking movie:

He's a DOJ lackey. Talks a good game but in the end he's more interested in protecting his former coworkers than exposing their abuses.

You obviously know more about him than I. I have never viewed him as a “company man” in the sense he was willing to back his “team” under every circumstance. He has always struck me as a guy with more principles than most politicians, and one of his principles is to follow the evidence wherever it took him, and judge from there. If he says he has seen no evidence the FBI was spying on the Trump campaign on behalf of Hillary or Obama I believe him. He hasn’t said the evidence doesn’t exist, just that he has not seen it.

You seem to be implying that he is covering the tracks of wrongdoing by people within the DOJ. If that is what you think then I disagree with you. I think he truly believes that “justice is represented by a lady with a blindfold.” I think he would make a marvelous FBI Director. Of course it will never happen, because he is not a Trump sycophant.

Just my two cents.

You know you're doing your job when the neocons and the left are pissed at you. MAGA!

You’ll probably quibble with this, but I saw this and found it interesting. It seems he never lost a case as a prosecutor. I interperate that to mean he didn’t take a case to trial unless he had slam dunk evidence against the accused, he took seriously the insistance that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Do you suppose it is possible he is honest, and doesn’t see enough evidence to recommend the DOJ prosecute those people we both (you and I) want to believe are guilty?
