To return to the dancing again in 2016.
Quick references:[/B]
2014-15 roster
2015 recruiting
Possible 2015-16 starting five[/B]
G: Jawun Evans
G: Jeff Newberry
G: Phil Forte III
F: Tavarius Shine
C: Mitchell Solomon
Who is lost:[/B] The Cowboys will bid farewell to three starters, led by Anthony Hickey Jr. is gone after transferring from LSU and playing immediately this past season. He helped ease the loss of Marcus Smart.
Who is added:[/B] Coach Travis Ford is bringing in one of the best point guards in the country,Igor Ibaka -- Serge's younger brother -- should help inside and on the glass.
What it means for next season:[/B] The personnel losses in the starting lineup will hurt, but Evans has the ability to be one of the biggest impact freshman guards in the country next season. Newberry -- a former junior college transfer -- can play both guard positions, but he was effective off the ball next to Hickey this season and will likely do the same with Evans aboard. Forte is also back for his senior season. The high-scoring yet undersized Forte has unlimited range on his jumper and will find plenty of open shots with Evans running the show. The frontcourt will see an overhaul without Nash and Cobbins. Shine saw extended minutes in Big 12 play, and he could move into the lineup. Anthony Allen for minutes.
Trending:[/B] Down. Ford was able to get the Cowboys back to the NCAA tournament without Smart, which was admirable, but it will be tough next season. Evans is a big-time addition, and he and Forte are a dangerous backcourt, but there are multiple holes to fill along the frontline, and there aren't any obvious replacements.
