No, I got the impression she detests all the supposed VP contenders that made themselves very small in an attempt to persuade Trump to choose them, and poor old Ms. Stephanik completely transformed who she had always been, only to be rejected for a person even less worthy than she. I got the impression the writer is very much a left-wing Democrat who relished the opportunity to rub Stephanik's nose in her hypocrisy.
