here we go....excited about Lou's debut tomorrow night against the Wolverines! Looks like OU may be catching a break right out of the gate with all the announced redshirts by Michigan. Nonetheless, hoping OU gets back to a National contender before too long!

Man...that was U G L Y!!!! Maybe I was too optimistic since they beat Mich last year and then the news of the redshirts.....oh well.... The rebuild will require some patience and time but it will get better..... Right??????

I'm a big Rosselli fan. I have faith he'll have them jumping levels, to quote Harley.
Didn't get to see the first two matches, but Assad and Micic are studs. So are Profaci, Murphy, and Massa. Michigan is a top ten team, even with Coon redshirting.
I did like how our heavier weights responded after watching our light and mid-range weights falter. Very easy to just pack it in when your entire team crumbles like that. Michigan wasn't loaded for bear at those weights, but our guys responded well.
Roselli said after the match that too many of his wrestlers did not pull weight right and tried to cut the day of the match and it showed. They had no life. Duffield looked good for a time against Assad but got caught and pinned. Miccic was dominant over Blackwell. Davion Jeffries did nothing for most of the match, barely shot but did get OU's first takedown at the end. There was a drought of takedowns with no more from OU until Andrew Dixon got another and eventually pinned his opponent with a cradle. Brad Johnson obviously was one of the ones who did not cut weight right and looked gassed but so was his opponent. Johnson had to have a takedown close to the end of the match and it went overtime and Johnson got another. Larson looked far superior to his chubby Russian opponent and ended it with a pin very quickly. Roselli will do well but all of these wrestlers were recruited by Cody. He has a good class of recruits coming in next year but they will struggle this year.Can it get worse?

Duffield....he will be ok. Battled hard very young.
Blackwell...just was over matched. Micic is very tough.
Longo....still not sure his knee is right. Looked gassed.
Davion....not sure what's up with him. Seemed to shut down once he fell behind up until the very end. Maybe expectations are too high for him.
Dawaylon.... Really like this kid! Murphy is a total stud!
Glass...wrestled tough....always gives 100%. Just needs more offense.
Hansen....small for 74. Reed will be back soon.
Dixon... Hopeful will be a turn around season. Great start!
