OU granddaughter graduating.....

Ambidextrous and ambipedal granddaughter will graduate our nation's most diverse school of higher learning. She follows legions of bi and tri-racials to walk the halls of OU.

She is last of the Fort Sill band of black Indians. Interracial marriage with European Caucasians has left us but a dim memory.
Congrats! You are right to be so proud.

Granddaughter started on Waco Midway's USA Today #1 ranked volleyball team her Senior year. Midway never lost a set in District. Midway lost in the second round to eventual Texas state champion and USA Today #1. She served right. Granddaughter had scholarship offers from UT-Tyler, Arkansas-Little Rock, Incarnate Word, West Texas A&M-Canyon. UTSA invited her for an official visit. She declined.

Her mother sent film to OU and Texas A&M. Didn't hear back. Granddaughter's 5' 7" height might have cost her with the big boys. Granddaughter was dead set on following her oldest brother to OU. A buddy on the volleyball team told granddaughter she didn't want to get involved with attempting to walk on. The volleyball team was the pits.

Daughter wrote checks to OU, just as she did with her oldest son. Daughter wanted all 4 of her kids to attend Texas Tech with it's very reasonable tuition rates, as did her sister.

Older daughter spent 2 years at McClennan Junior College. Then 6 years at the U. S. Postal Service, then resigning. Her Baylor grad husband has made some brilliant business decisions, as has she.

I'll add: Texas A&M accepted granddaughter. She was all ready to enroll when at the last minute OU called. You are accepted but there's no room for you till the spring. She attended a semester at MCC before enrolling at OU.

Grandson was all prepared for TT, when he received a last minute acceptance to OU.
