The OU fans and pro OU journalists are all talking about Doug's lack of experience as a coach. In fact, that is the truth. But if you listen to Doug he is better breaking down X's and O's than many of the retired coaches. If you are concerned about practice let him hire someone as assistant with that experience (I.e. Brooks Thompson, his brother). I have a feeling that he would be a dynamic recruiter and would fire up the students and fan base.
I know we are likely to hire Underwood or Beard and I am OK with that. But all the media piling on against Doug makes me believe the pro Sooner base is more worried about him steamrolling Krueger than any of the other candidates. I am OK with any of the three but hiring Doug intrigues me.
