Martinez should get the 1 as he and Nolf both have a loss and are 1-1 vs each other with Martinez having the latest victory.

Gantt is undefeated, and the seeds are suppose to go by this seasons results, not prior seasons or the eye test. I think Gantt will get the #1 seed.

Would love to see Gantt with the one seed let the two big teeners muscle it out in a 2 vs 3. Joe could get the 4 or 5. I think he would match up better with Gantt then having to see Imar or Nolf in the semis

Undefeated is not the top criteria in ranking strength of schedule is a major factor in ranking and when seeding nationals.

Martinez
Nolf
Gantt
Miller
Smith

That would be my seeding for 157 so only time will tell but that is how I see it shaking out for the top 5 at nationals.

Remember these seedings in 2014: 1. Port 2. Stieber 3. Retherford

Port was undefeated and Stieber and Retherford lost to each other. Almost the same exact situation.

Nolf and Martinez have been ranked 1-2 all year and no I do not remember Port being the 1 seed above Stieber so we shall see. I hope Gantt is the 1 and Joe gets the 4 seed and let Martinez and Nolf meet in the semis but I would bet the seeding committee will not want to see that happen and if you rank one of them above Gantt you almost have to rank both of them above him IMHO.

I also wonder how this might affect Miller's seeding. This is from the NCAA Wrestling Committee Annual Report:

For 2016, the committee recommends that the qualifying tournament placement selection and seeding criteria only be awarded to wrestlers who earn a pre-allocated spot in their respective conference tournament. This puts more emphasis on the conference tournaments, rewarding conference champions and wrestlers that place within the earned allocated spots.

They need to bring the seeding criteria back to what it was seeding strictly based off one season alone is dumb
