It wasn’t just a big day for Oklahoma State’s current softball team yesterday. Two future Cowgirls had big days to lead their high school teams in playoff victories.
A pair of future Cowgirls led their softball teams to playoff wins yesterday in the Class 6A Texas playoffs. Tia Warsop - a 2023 commit and considered to be one of the nation’s top juniors - had two hits and a walk and scored twice to lead Mansfield Lake Ridge to a win over The Woodlands to capture the Class 6A Region II championship.
Meanwhile, fellow OSU signee Haidyn Sokoloski homered to help Flower Mound Marcus beat El Paso Americas and force a Game 3 playoff for the Class 6A Region I championship for one of the other spots in the Class 6A State finals in Austin next weekend.
Both of these ladies have been the stars of their teams throughout the season and probably will be named Class 6A All-Staters once the season ends.
So Coach G is killing it in recruiting this year as well. KG has bern mining the many of the best players out of DFW for 2-3 years now and has more in the way!
SATURDAY UPDATE
In Saturday’s Game 3 of the Class 6A playoffs, El Paso Americas got three solo home runs to eliminate Flower Mound Marcus, 4-1, for the 6A Region I championship. The lone run for Marcus came on a solo home run from OSU signee Haidyn Sokoloski.
