if I had been there I would have asked the guy if he had a job, if he was doing drugs. If he said no to both, I would have told him to take the cart back in, go through the check out, I'd pay for it, and he could go eat. But, that's just me, this morning, right now anyhow.
and here's another story...one of those situations where you wish you'd done something to help...
a young couple was in walmart in the self checkout lane with their baby in the basket seat. They were just standing there embarrassed and shocked or something because their card had been declined. They were speechless and well you know all the things that go along with being declined at the checkout lane. I actually don't remember what happened to them, but I wish I'd have just stepped up and told them I was going to put this on my card and they could just pay it forward sometime. I didn't do that...someone may have, I think I just kept on going. Anyway, I won't think twice for a second if something like that happens to me again.
