So why does a white chick shooting a black guy make national news and Holston doesn't? For that matter, why does a black guy getting shot by a white cop or all the other narratives? These kids getting shot is just one outrageous thing we just sort of go, "Well, okay, that's a bad deal" and stick our head in the sand. Nobody seems to really want to do anything about that, but protecting homes is important?

It pretty obviously went viral because of the video quality of the entire event - which is highly unusual. It had nothing to do with anything else.

Home owners legitimately defending themselves with firearms - either by brandishing or firing them in self defense - are one of the least reported statistics in America, because most of the time, there is no story to report because the crime was interrupted.

How many of your examples had video of the incident? You do realize most folks don't get their news thrown onto their front lawn any longer, right?
