Oklahoma legislature

Here is their list of tax proposals straight from their Step Up Oklahoma website.

Cigarette Tax - $243.9mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 30.9%
Increased by $1.50 per pack
Gross Production Tax - $133.5mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 16.9%
All wells currently at 2% will be increased to 4% and all future wells will begin at 4% for first 36 months and move to 7% after
Little Cigars and Chewing Tobacco & E- Cigarettes - $12.9mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 1.6%
Tax little cigars as cigarettes and levy additional 10% tax on chewing tobacco
Motor Fuel Tax - $170.4mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 21.6%
Increase rate on diesel and gasoline by $0.06 per gallon
Wind Generation Tax - $15.0mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 1.9%
Transferable / Refundable Income Tax Credits - $18.0mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 2.3%
Cap transferability / cash refundability for coal, wind, and railroad credits effective 2018 tax year
Gaming Modernization - $22.0mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 2.8%
Individual Income Tax Reform - $175.0mm - Percentage of Total Revenue 22%

In my opinion that's just a horribly regressive set of taxation proposals that does nothing to diversify the revenue streams of the state. Simply a non-starter.

Are they talking about any spending reductions of consequence?

Color me unimpressed with Oklahoma government. This has nothing to do with party and everything to do with they all suck donkey balls. I swear the lack of fore thought that goes into the road construction would fund teacher pay alone. I love it when they "re-do" a road throw millions of dollars at it then two years later they are ripping up said road for a whole new construction project.

40 west to 35s interchange rides like a state highway exit in the panhandle or squeezing a bowling ball through a garden hose
