Last year you roasted me for saying the collapse shouldn't have been that big a surprise and I knew up front it was an 85 win team at best and things could go bad. after the fact so let's here where you all think this is going. World Series? Number one draft pick? Somewhere in between.
Personally I think this a 500 team at best. If everything goes well and they get some bounce back years from guys like Fielder, Elvis, Choo and Holland they might get a few games above. If things go badly this could be a 90 -100 loss team. Literally the entire pitching staff is coming off injuries. You've already lost Darvish. The thinnest of the pitching staff is the greatest concern. By July or August the starting rotation could be a triple A team.
Offensively they simply lack power and everyone but Beltran is coming off a down year. Beltran's the only guy in the lineup who hit higher then .270 last year. The good news is historically most of them have been much better players then that. With a healthy Fielder and average years from Elivs and Choo the offensive improves significantly. Even then is still an average major league offensive at best.
My prediction 76-86 fourth in the AL West. ( I'm still not buying the Astro hype)_
