Years ago one of the managers that worked for me was a retired musician who had toured with Merle for 20 years. I thought he was full of shit until one day in walks Merle to see him. Ended up being invited to the concert he was in town for and going to the after party. I found out first hand the stories he told were all true and if anything were mild in comparison to real life. Let's just say Merle liked to party really hard.
