I think this true also because usually they kind of play up like they find stuff on the previews and they are not doing that this year. Now how big of a find it will be is another story but I am pretty sure they have found something. I really hope they do because my wife says the show is basically a bunch of dudes digging holes and finding nothing.
I am in the pirate treasure camp. I just think it is the most believable. It would be cool if they found some Knight's Templar stuff or Aztec gold from the Spanish. Last nights episode was interesting in the fact they hit all that metal that deep but I guess that could be old drilling stuff from earlier digs.
I would agree that it is treasure as well however it would not surprise me if it was more than just pirate treasure.
It would seem to be a very elaborate system of tunnels and booby traps pretty deep in the ground for the 1600s if not earlier.. Would have taken a Long time IMO. I think it may support the theory that there are multiple treasures there.
I know one thing if they find the ark of the covenant I am joining a monestary the next day!!!!!!

They found somen bone and pottery last night. Previews are showing that it is human.

Looked like they might hit the money pit also or at least find what they think is the money pit next week. Things are heating up.
I have no idea what this show is, yet, I click on this thread every time someone adds a post. I keep hoping one of you will reveal the secret of this show to me. I could google it, but it is more fun to read your posts.
What is amazing is how deep they are going. I figured if you were going to bury treasure you might bury it 8-10 foot. You know it's hard work digging by hand. Pirates are lazy...or at least that is what I'm told.
If I didn't already have 10 other things I need to finish watching, I'd start this one too just because of this dumb thread.
Nothing has ever been found or will be found in the future. They are just digging into one of the many natural sinkholes on the island.
Except they found old pottery and bones.... Thanks though for educating those of us watching.

I agree with you I would think something of magnitude would leak. Unless they don't find much of value but more historical items. I felt like last nights episode was setting us up for next week.
This episode was a string along episode. All the good stuff was the last 5 minutes of the show.

Well maybe it depends on what it is.... If you find stuff like treasure you probably could keep it to yourself until you were ready to announce it.... Which would be in the show in this case. I think what would be harder to keep quiet about would be something of great historical value maybe even leader historical value...
