So my buddy and I were discussing the best TV show intro's from the 70's and 80's, and, of course, I decided the best thing to do was go completely overboard and create a 32 "Intro" tournament bracket and let the people decide. I created a thread for each match up, complete with videos and a poll for voting, and I also posted a link to the bracket I created. First round voting will stay open for 5 days. Once we have the results, I'll update the bracket and create the match up threads for the 2nd round and so on.
This is my "once every 5 year" attempted contribution to the board, and it'll at least give us something to do now that we've officially entered the dog days of summer. There's some 60's/70's overlap and some 80's/90's overlap, but as long as the show identified as a 70's or 80's show, it was fair game. Of course, this is all subjective. Music was part of the criteria, but I also considered other factors such as great action in the intro, iconic images, iconic characters, cool voice overs, how memorable the intro was, etc. And yes, I do have too much time on my hands.
