NYC trip part 2

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions for my NYC trip. Question for those of you who have experience buying baseball tickets online. I was thinking I am going to walk up to the Mets stadium ticket office on Saturday and buy a ticket. Can I do that? Should I do that? Or would I have better luck buying online using a ticket service? If you guys suggest buying online please share which site I should use. Thanks I advance.
