PAUL KRUGMAN, 12:42 AM: “If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.”

Markets, just now:

Wow after all his wrong he comes out today with...

A prediction. Zero lessons learned.

  • Nikkei up almost 7% today
  • DJIA up nearly 6% the last two days
  • S&P 500 up over 4% the last two days.

Wall Street is going to hate lower corporate taxes, more jobs and real incomes rising, increased consumer consumption.

All the trillions of repatriated money that will have to be reinvested in stocks and other investments.

Wall Street is in for a rough ride.

If you want to step into Pilt's mind, read krugman.
I despise post 2014 or so Krugman. I thought he was really good until then when he was focused on economics and just dabbled in politics. He has lost his goddamned mind over this HRC candidacy though. I am really enjoying it after that hack job he pulled on Bernie.

I think it was earlier than that they he moved from economist to party flack. But he is obviosuly a really smart guy in his field, but as you say, he has lost his mind.

Oh yeah definitely earlier (His 90s Rubinite shit is gross) but his party hackery was of a better quality and could be enjoyed by people that don't know Debbie Wassermann-Schultz personally.

Holy crap, I agree with pilt again. I need a drink.

Nice little bull run!

Personally looking at moving to income producing real estate in the next year or so anticipating a bit of a pull back in the local real estate market and a bear run 2H17.

A weak dollar contributed to the stock market run up after 2008, correct? With the dollar as strong as it is now, could a weakening of the dollar, assuming it happens, keep the market moving north?
