I need a quick opinion. I'll try to make this quick. Signed contract about 45-50 days ago to buy a lot to build a house on, was to close in 30 days. Guy I bought the lot from has back HOA dues to pay along with some penalties and fees. He's trying to get out of paying penalties and fees and we haven't closed on the lot. He's throwing a big fit with the HOA. I'm seriously considering backing out of buying the lot. Am I free to do that without fear of repercussion?
