Honestly, we could all see this coming. Rumors, etc. So, now is where we find out where we are. Do the players respond and rally around each other? Do they fight and say “we are going to leave with legacy”.
My bet is they will. We have a ton of heart on this team. Will it be a great season? Who knows....but, I will tell you in basketball, a couple of “never give up attitudes” can impact a season and I think we have those guys.
I remember going with my dad to regional Finals of “85” against Auburn and UNC. Villanova didn’t have anything besides a point guard that couldn’t shoot out of his shadow, a big man that had never shown up, and a white guy that decided he was the best shooter in the nation for three weeks.
We play defense, like we have, we will be in every game. This either unites and sparks a fire or goes south. I honestly believe with Coach B and Scott..let us be in the trenches and fight.
