So when we give back what we took from Iran its all good, but when we give back what we took from Russia its bad? Just making sure I'm understanding what warrants aggrieved status today.

These were diplomatic annexs much like Benghazi. They should never have been shut down in the first place regardless. Yes we know Russia is using them for intelligence gathering. This means we can use them for counterintelligence or spying on them as well. Obama was horrible at espionage and has done more damage to our intelligence community than Benedict Arnold. The fact that you are posting this article as an attack on Trump shows just how little you know about intelligence and espionage as well as embassy relations and the state department.

Yea CowboyinUK and I may disagree on what something means but I usually find he knows the facts of what he is talking about. Would be an interesting meeting but it's always funny when I meet people that have done similar jobs. We end up talking about other subjects like sports because we can't talk about what we know. Compartmentalization or stove piping gets in the way of juicy conversations. Ironically also was a major reason why 9/11 occured.
Edit to answer second question. The answer is no. There are too many checks and balances and I believe that the intelligence community as a whole still needs major overhauls that date back to 9/11 but also take into account a major overreach with the patriot act. The balance is way off and needs to be addressed but current politicians either want to use informational power or don't understand it.

Pretty amazing coincidence that Manaforte, Flynn, him, Eric, et al have these crazy Russian connections and then he gives them their spy house back without any strings attached. Maybe it's not happening. We've had a real good relationship with Germany and bad one with Russia for a long time and he's obviously trying to change that. His son said they get their money from Russia. He fired people investigating Russia and then rolls over on the spy houses. Pretty amazing coincidences.

An anonymous person close to an unnamed source who has ties to somebody who used to work closely with a former administration official is possibly reporting that President Trump gave the real estate back because it will take years for the Russians to remove all of our advanced surveillance equipment from the premises.
