Nothing on here about Tejas tipping blue?

Is Texas the canary in the coal mine? Is the country tipping blue? Are the hard core statists winning? Seeing the collapse and denial of any principles by the Republican Party would appear to indicate so.

So the Red guys are NOT the Statists? Threatening to arrest local politicians because they dare assert local control of law enforcement, who is doing that again?

Defying federal law is not asserting local control it's just being law breakers.

The constitution gives the feds control of immigration law.

The red guys most certainly ARE statists. They used to be less statist than they are now. Thus my comment that they have abandoned their principles. I don’t think I am in error in saying the blue guys have a much greater desire to exercise more control over the rest of us. The red guys seem to be trying their hardest to catch up. Politicians of both parties are deserving of contempt.

This -- always notice these "spontaneous" protests happening during work hours (which the media eagerly covers).

Think about it -- what productive person has time (or desire) to go to an airport to "rally for DACA" at 2pm on a Wednesday?

This shit happens all the time. Protests and rallies during work hours.

Remember guys.

The New York City Democrat election commissioner told us in plain English, "they bus people around to vote."

He couldn't have been any more specific on this -- listen for yourself:

My math says Dems need to increase their votes by 33% just to break even, let alone 'lean.'

Please tell me you are NOT a civil engineer.

Thankfully not civil. Just a lowly chemical engineer. I presented early voting numbers.

Out of 15.25 Million registered voters, according to Secretary of State tallies, the highest Democratic vote total for any single ballot item was 1.05 million. Highest Republican vote total for any single line was 1.55 million.

I saw a headline that Dem turnout was up 40% from the last midterm. (Obama) So there's that.

Though a separate article points out that the 2014 turnout was the lowest on 70 years.

Tipping indicates 50% plus 1 vote to me.
Leaning indicates a deviation from the norm.

After a cow tipping, the cow isn’t standing up. I can be standing and still be leaning forward, and not be tipped over.

I would say any significant measurable deviation from the norm, not necessarily a standard deviation.

Mechanical engineers are usually the statistics guys.

I don’t think it’s a matter of if, but when Texas flips blue. There was an article in the Economist a few years back comparing all the similarities to California, a once Red state.

I’ve been here 15 years. Hoping to hold on another 15 and then if it flips maybe California will have imploded and split up and I can move to the state of Jefferson. That or the mountains in Idaho, Montana or a nice southern state like Tennessee.
