I'm curious as to what others think we should do with them? Has the can been kicked far enough down the road that we finally have to do something or do we keep on talking big and doing nothing and let them continue to build an arsenal.

Just curious what some of the minds on here think, I have no clue.

I'm not willing to hedge our bets on the assumption that a dictator that kills his own family members with anti-aircraft artillery is a rational actor. The current strategy appears to be to increase the pressure as much as possible to either (i) force China's hand or (ii) bait Un into making a mistake and striking first so we'd be completely justified in retaliating. I don't see the 1st option ever really happening as it should be apparent by now that NK serves a useful purpose for China in that they are a thorn in the U.S. and its allies sides. A buffer, if you will, that lets China advance its interests throughout the region with less pushback.

Using my assumptions above, a pretty bleak picture is painted. For the record, I loathe recent US Foreign Interventionist Policy. Trump was left holding the can that was kicked down the road for 2 decades now. Bigly unfortunate but such is life. What to do now? I'm glad I'm not commander in chief. I have no fvcking idea.

Message 1 from US to DPRNK: If it flies it dies.
Message 2 from US to DPRNK: An attack on an ally will be lethal to you, your government, the DPRNK will be come a state of South Korea.
Message 3 from US to DPRNK: Welcome to the nuclear family. Lets talk about what that means in terms of expectations and your future.

"DPRNK"

That's funny.

love message 3

its got the right kind of snowflake that will undoubtedly reach the inner mind of a dude that executed his uncle with an artillery shell and his brother with poison in a foreign airport.

let's welcome iran to the nuclear family as well

we can buy the world a coke and sing in harmony

when you make effort to engage in peaceful solutions with people who don't understand such you get a messy war whether they know it or not

Check out this Op Ed from FOX.
It points out quite a few facets, of the situation, that are not immediately obvious.

There are no easy answers to this mess.
I actually think that Trump may be handling this in the best way possible. KJU might just believe that Trump is unhinged enough to nuke NK off the map, and that might be enough of a deterrent to make him think twice about firing an opening salvo.

Here's a perspective that seeks to explain North Korean belligerence, how it got that way. Their dictator is an evil, sadistic weasel. But maybe he isn't suicidal. Maybe he's seeking a weapon to counteract the aggression he feels from us. Interesting point about the "forgotten war."

I read that Biff thinks he understands Kim better than his advisors and national security team. NO SHIT. They're alike. Born rich, delusional, overly sensitive and thin skinned, megalomaniac, authoritarian, fat, surrounded by yes men... Maybe Biff is just the right guy to deal with Kim. Or maybe he's going to start the Last World War.

1. NK will hit us here if there's a war. (sorry to be a parrot)

2. Russia is behind NK's nuclear program. I don't have any source for that, but I'd bet the farm on it.

3. Our hubris is bad. Gorka said we're no longer a superpower -- we're a hyperpower. We'll undoubtedly win, etc. Riiiight. That's the lawyer equivalent to having a case you can't lose. Shock and awe, etc.

I would basically talk enough sh** that that little fat punk over there would slip up fire a rocket and give me the excuse to invade his country. I would liberate the people of NK and finally allow some one other then KJU to be a fat person in NK.

Funny video along the same lines of thought.

Nothing. Its too late to be proactive and any aggressive action gives KJU the justification to strike back and as detailed, he now has that capability. If South Korea is concerned, then they should raise those concerns with the UN. Maybe that waste of an organization could actually do something worthy of the billions in funding they receive. Otherwise, we can only act in a retaliatory fashion. NK has to throw the first punch. If they so much as sneeze though, we should MOAB KJU's palace and any and all military targets. We should NOT use nukes (even if NK launches one first).

The MOAB is launched from a C-130 airplane. Slow prop driven plane which wouldn't have a chance to get near KJU without first wiping out his SAMs. By then he would be sheltering deep inside one of his mountains.

I pay China $50 million to help plan an assasination of the NK leader, with an agreement that the next head of NK would be mutually agreed upon but one that would be friendly to China so that NK would remain a buffer for them. China would remove all nukes from NK to have a friendly regime change and also destroy all NK nuclear facilities.

Can't happen. As soon as this meeting occurred you'd have it leaked to the press and then you could legitimately raise charges to impeach Trump.
