We reported a few days ago about the troubling data breach of the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo. The data stolen was then given to some in the media, including the Guardian. Included in the information stolen were the names of people who donated to a fund for the defense of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17 year old who shot three people, killing two, after he was chased and attacked in Kenosha. The Guardian then published some of those names, including the name of a Utah paramedic who donated $10 to the fund and a Norfolk police officer who donated $25.
A local news organization in Utah tracked down the Utah paramedic and went to his house, putting a target on him. They also went to his employers, the West Valley Fire Department, and put them in the spotlight. According to West Valley, they are now “investigating” the paramedic for his donation.
This isn’t news. It’s stalking people and violating their privacy in a disgraceful way.
Unfortunately, it gets worse.
According to The Pilot Online, the Norfolk police officer who donated to the Rittenhouse fund has now been fired. I will not name the man because it’s wrong that he or any of the others were ever doxxed.
The officer’s donation included the comment, “God bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You’ve done nothing wrong” and “Every rank and file police officer supports you. Don’t be discouraged by actions of the political class of law enforcement leadership.”
Mayor Kenny Alexander called the officer’s donation, “alarming and by all means not consistent with the values of our city.” The city manager Chip Filer called the officer’s comments “egregious.” Filer claimed that the comments violated departmental policies and could “erode the trust between the Norfolk Police Department and those they are sworn to serve.” But when asked, officials were unable to name what policy the officer’s donation violated.
The president of the local police union, Clay Messick, called the decision “disappointing,” saying he’d never seen an administrative investigation conducted “so hastily.” “It is hard to call this fair,” Messick exclaimed.
But if he had donated to the cause of a leftist who was charged, we all know there never would have been a question. Indeed, Kamala Harris gets to occupy the second highest position in the land even after she donated to a fund that bailed out people arrested during the riots in Minneapolis. Thirteen Biden campaign staffers also contributed to the same fund.
The crime here with the Norfolk officer? Wrong political thought. There are no allegations that this officer has acted improperly in the job in any way. How is this even a fireable offense?
No one should be targeted or hunted down for private donations like this.
The purpose with all this? To cow people into not donating or supporting anything other than the liberal view.

Everything about this is wrong.......hope this guy hires a good lawyer and never works another day in his life. Never realized how many spineless cowards were in local and state governments. Almost a given that the national scene is infested with spineless parasitic whores, but man the local and state scenes are even worse. Chilling how far the libcoms/media have gone and are willing to go in promoting such egregious acts to scare people into giving to causes they think are just. Given the libcom's donations to bail out rioters etc., also such a behemoth double standard.
Even the union rep acted like a little puss.....this guy must have not been a union member is all I can think of for such half-assed reply.
