No way we let you slide on this, David. No way!

“This is a service only qualified people should perform”

Tell us oh great Oregonian, do they send people to trade school to learn this trade?

Last time I checked, trade schools don't teach jack-off-idiocy.

It said it at the very end, but New Jersey also requires attendants to pump gas.

Oregon is also the state which considered taxing people for each mile driven in their cars.

Well my son, let me educate you... there is a safety training course.

On a serious note, price differential on gas compared to neighboring states generally favors Oregon AND you get mini service. Projections are the price will stay about the same. We will see if consumers favor the stations that continue to offer the convenience of a gas attendant.

Got some advice just yesterday to pick up a station or two as investments - accelerated depreciation and all....

I got nothing... try as I might, I have no real response.

Toyed with "why do you hate jobs so much", but really no decent response comes to mind.
Man, I'm a nostalgic fan of full service stations. Pulling in, the guy filling the tank while checking the fluids, and the parents handing over $30 for an $18 tab was awesome.

Of course my dad told me he'd kicked my head unconscious if he ever caught me filling up in the full service area. That was reserved for the folks who earned the right to use it.
