No-go zones in London and Paris

before UK says there is no such thing/place...I've been to Paris to see a client and they specifically told me to say away from the subway at two stops near their office because of the crime and that the police would not go into those areas because of the muslim population and the areas are considered "no-go zones." They actually encouraged me to take a cab and wait until their security officer came out to escort me in.
There are a few Baptist neighborhoods that that will run you out if you ain't Christian.
In some places even football is more important than Jesus
Curious which part of Paris this is in. I was just there two weeks ago and will likely head back multiple times in the next few years.
Our downtown office is across the street from the old stock exchange, just a few blocks north of the Louvre. There's another office in Meudon, just east of Versailles.
There were no go areas in Clovis New Mexico when I lived there, due to Latino gangs, the Police would not do anything........if you have never been to Clovis, besides being the Armpit of the Southwest, its a town about 2/3 the size of Stillwater
When was the last time a Latino gang attacked random people at a concert, workplace, mall or university?
Have you ever lived in Clovis? They attacked people all of the time.........I am not condoning any of this, but every major city in the US has no go areas, they may be for different reasons, and I am sure some of the same, but there are still areas like this................
Trapped, their office was in "Colombes." The area around it was crappy looking as well.
Have been to Paris 8 times and aside from the museums (free on the first Sunday of every month) don't care if I ever go back. My Brazilian wife wanted to go there for our honeymoon, because of all the things she had heard, pictures she had seen and so on. She was appalled at the level of garbage on the streets, the smell of urine along the Seine and in the lower subway systems. We visited The Sacred Heart Basilica atop Montmartre and saw Arabic speakers drinking beer on the grounds (imagine doing that near a mosque???) and sitting on top the various statues, plus playing shitty music and generally drunk and disorderly, plus throwing their empty beer bottles on the ground.
I've seen the honor guard ceremony of the unknown soldier at The Arc de Triumphe, the Louvre and Versailles and been in the Eiffel Tower and plan to never go back except for the few times I will need to see clients and fly through the ugliest airport on the plane...De Gaulle, to get to battlefield sites around Paris and beyond.Always has been my goal to pay my respects to all the US Soldiers that are buried in US Military Cemeteries in the area and around the world.
Just so unimpressed with the place, especially when places like Amsterdam, Brussels, Normandy Coast, Belgium and Western Germany are much cleaner and friendlier.
