The flag means nothing to me but I have some friends that grew up in Georgia that it means something to. I guess you would call him a racist but I’m not sure how that could be considering he is married to a black women and has three kids with her.
One of the things that bothers me about the Confederate Flag issue is until recently the confederate flag was not an issue for anyone. In fact we had a very popular TV show where they had a car painted to look like a confederate flag. It was so popular they remade a movie about just a few years ago. No one protested, no one threw a fit, no one was intimidated and no one fell over dead from seeing that stupid flag. It wasn't until some radical left wing group emboldened by Obama decided to make it an issue.
Comparing that flag to the Nazi flag is about as dishonest an argument that can be made. Furthermore you leftist have been so indoctrinated you believe the civil war was fought only because of slavery, which is such a lazy argument it's not even worth debating with anyone that puts it forward. There are lessons that we should learn from the Civil War so we don't make those same mistakes in the future. Unfortunately because one group knows the slavery argument hits people's emotions all the lessons we should learn are lost.
